Man guilty of murder in fatal wreck
BEAUFORT A Carteret County man has been found guilty of second degree murder in connection with a fatal wreck that occurred a year ago o the high-rise bridge in Morehead City.

Event to create vision for the future of ENC
PlanIt EAST leaders gather around a map similar to one that will be used during the Envision EAST-2050 regional visioning exercise to be held in October to plan for population growth in the nine-county region.
Pledge breakfast scheduled
The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Morehead City, with the meal being provided by Golden Corral.
Student art exhibit
Students from the Associate of Fine Arts, Interior Design, and Photography programs will be holding their end-of-semester Student Art Exhibition and Reception from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Historic Camp Glenn building on the college campus in Morehead City.
