Gill net fishing prohibition effort heads to mediation

A meeting is scheduled for March 15 to bring together representatives on both sides of the issue with N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries staff to try to resolve a conflict between fishermen and town residents concerned about problems from nighttime net fishing activities.
